An American al-Qaeda militant urges Islamist groups to greet President Bush with bombs when he visits the Middle East. The threat comes in a video message posted on the Internet. The authenticity of the tape could not be immediately verified but it bears the logo of al-Qaeda’s media arm and had been advertised on an Islamist site for several days.
So you want to Kill An American?
After watching this, I want to sing this (and I’m British) -
America! America!
God shed his grace on thee
And crown thy good with brotherhood
From sea to shining sea!
And this US video report below of the sad AQ video, where the reporters sound a bit like automatons, tells us a little more.
But this Adam guy refers to England as “not so great Britain”. Cheek! Where’s he been for the last ten years? It IS GREAT here; more or less.
Oh, yeah. He’s been holed away up in the mountains somewhere, winning his war, and playing around on the internet. Far too much time on his hands, say I.
(Btw, what happens to a former westerner’s sense of humour when he becomes islamicised? Not that I imply that ONLY westerners have a sense of humour, you understand.)
Go on Adam - tell us a joke. There must be one about the Christian, the Muslim and the Jew! No?
Addendum - just noticed - he DOES have a sense of humour. Ripped up his American passport! That’s funny. Especially when so many are crying out for one of those. Ah well, he wouldn’t want to fly into the states these days. All that finger-printing, body scanning and stuff, and all because of those blasted terrorists. What IS the world coming to?
CAIRO, Egypt - Al-Qaida’s American spokesman called on the terror network’s fighters to greet President Bush with “bombs and booby-trapped vehicles” when he visits the Middle East later this week, according to a video posted Sunday.
The rhetoric-packed video also featured the California-born Adam Gadahn tearing up his U.S. passport as part of a “symbolic” protest against Washington and marked the terror network’s first message of 2008.”Now we direct an urgent call to our militant brothers in Muslim Palestine and the Arab peninsula … to be ready to receive the Crusader slayer Bush in his visit to Muslim Palestine and the Arab peninsula in the beginning of January and to receive him not with flowers or clapping but with bombs and booby-trapped vehicles,” Gadahn said in Arabic, though he spoke mostly in English during the video.Bush is scheduled to arrive in Israel on Wednesday for a weeklong regional trip that will also bring him to the West Bank, Kuwait, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. Most of the 50-minute long video, titled “An Invitation to Reflection and Repentance,” appeared to be aimed at ordinary Americans, with Gadahn saying al-Qaida felt the need to release the statement after Washington’s “defeat” in Iraq and Afghanistan and failed attempts by Bush and other diplomats to bring peace to the Middle East.”We felt it necessary to address the American people and explain to them some of the facts about these critical and fast-moving events,” said the California-born Gadahn, who wore a white and red headscarf.”The first questions Americans might ask is has America really been defeated? The answer is yes and on all fronts,” he said while sitting behind a desk with a coffee cup and laptop computer nearby. The video could not immediately be independently verified, but it appeared on a Web site often used by Islamic militants and carried the logo of al-Qaida’s media wing, al-Sahab. At the beginning of the video, the date December 2007 was displayed, and Gadahn mentioned Robert Hawkins, who killed eight people at a mall in Omaha, Neb. on Dec. 5, suggesting the tape was made sometime after then.Gadahn, also known as Azzam al-Amriki, was charged with treason in the U.S. in 2006 and has been wanted since 2004 by the FBI, which is offering a $1 million reward for information leading to his arrest or conviction. He has appeared in several al-Qaida videos including most recently in August when he threatened new attacks on foreign embassies. In May, al-Qaida released another video featuring Gadahn, who warned Bush to end U.S. involvement in Muslim lands or face an attack worse than the Sept. 11, 2001, strikes. In his latest video statement, Gadahn lashed out repeatedly at the United States for its wars in Afghanistan and Iraq and close ties to Israel and the leaders of some Muslim countries, including Egypt and Pakistan, which he described as some of the “worst dictators and tyrants.”Gadahn also criticized Christianity, which he called “baseless and doubt-filled,” and urged Americans — including soldiers who fought in Vietnam, Iraq and Afghanistan — to convert to Islam.”Listen to me, and listen to me carefully, before you lose your mind to flashbacks, and drugs and drink-induced dementia and before your demons drive you to self-destruction and suicide, in these verses (in the Quran), God calls out to each and every one of you saying God forgives all sins … if you simply stop and repent,” he said.At one point in the video, Gadahn took out his U.S. passport, showed it to the camera and tore it into several pieces.”In symbolic rejection of the American citizenship that honorable and decent and compassionate people are ashamed to carry, I will now proceed to destroy my American passport,” he said.”But don’t get too excited, I don’t need it to travel anyway,” he added with a smile after tearing it apart.Gadahn is the first American to be charged with treason in more than 50 years and could face the death penalty if convicted. He also was indicted on a charge of providing material support to terrorists.
Earlier this month, FBI spokesman Richard Kolko said the agency would review the latest tape for intelligence value and vowed never to give up the hunt for Gadahn.

Today is the day when things could get a bit tricky as regards the security and safety of President Bush on his trip to the Middle East.He is due to visit the Palestinian authority Mahmoud Abbas and his Prime Minister Salan Fayyad in Ramallah. I only hope that President Bush’s security detail have got EVERTHING covered as much as possible, and if things turn pear shaped they can get him out of a dangerous situation as fast as they can. It would be horrendous if he was assassinated the fallout would be huge, really huge. Not really sure if this Middle East tour is going to achieve much to be honest, but he has to be seen at least trying to get the Israeli/Palestinian problems thrashed out hopefully though it doesn’t cost him dear. The thing is President Bush probably can’t win as regards the Media and what he does or doesn’t do on the Middle East and Israel/Palestinian conflict, if he doesn’t go and or doesn’t engage the Media will get him for it and if he does try they will say he won’t achieve anything, it is a waste of time and he is only doing it for something to be remembered by once he leaves office. I believe there is also another reason for this Middle Eastern tour and that is Iran, Iran is becoming quite a pressing issue and it would seem as well that he is making sure our Middle Eastern allies (Israel,Jordan, Kuwait,) etcc will support and help sort out Iran and all its issues with the USA.
As regards this Adam bloke no doubt there are a few of those out there all vying to be the one to kill President Bush, not only President Bush but any President of USA whether Republican or Democrat doesn’t matter, though you would think by hearing the Media that it it only him the baddies are interested in because of the war in Iraq etccc !!! you know what I mean? !!!
BTW, I read the response of the first person replying to this post and recognize his name, Ray Robison. I have been reading his site for some time now although I don’t comment on there, it is a very, very interesting site and I have found out so much information that would never have been readily available on the Media/newspapers etc.. It was through him that I discovered about the oil for food scandal, the Saddam Hussein translated documents and of course the fact that there was a link between Saddam al Qaeda and the Taliban, without Ray’s info I wouldn’t have been any the wiser. All of this info was out there for all to see but the Media decided they didn’t want to make it public too much as it would mean they couldn’t carry on with their agenda re Bush/Blair and the war in Iraq etcc could they?? !! When the Media finally did mention all of these things they did so but with a twist to all of it, distorting the facts. If people were only to read all the documents made available on site by Ray Robison and others who have displayed them, they would see the truth and realise Tony Blair and George Bush were RIGHT to take out and take down the most brutal, evil regime on earth and wouldn’t question it.
Going off onto a different subject now, it would appear in the papers that Tony has been offered another job !! This time the job is to do with the Financial side (can’t remember off the top of my head the name of it, but it is American) Morgan ?? You may have heard about this story in the news today?? It would seem no matter what our Media think of the previous Prime Minister there are a lot of others around the world that think Tony Blair was the best thing since sliced bread, including you and I of course and the many others who comment and visit this site !!. What made me smile was in this article it says that he could earn £10,000 a week and Media are like he deserves that??? and I say of course he does, why not, if he does a good at it, then yes of course he does. Whether or not he does this job or not or whether it is just pure speculation, don’t know, he has far too much on his plate right now I would have thought with the Palestinian thing, but this could be a future project. One thing is for sure though Tony Blair isn’t going to be out of work, there will always be someone ,or some organisation wanting to employ him and his services, what a shame that the Gordon Brown mob and the Labour left didn’t feel the same.
Anway, that is it for now,
Hope you had a good Christmas and hope that New year brings you good luck

About
In 2003 the United States invaded Iraq to remove Saddam Hussein
from power. Subsequently, the U.S. government collected
millions of the Iraqi regimes documents and media items.
These Arabic documents have been translated and for the first time
reveal the amazing secret support Saddam provided to Islamic
terrorism.
Revealed
Transcripts from meetings in Baghdad showed the Taliban asked
for help and Saddam’s regime agreed to assist them even as the
Taliban provided safe haven and support to Usama bin Laden and
al Qaeda while it plotted the attacks of September 11th, 2001.
These documents reveal that the Saddam regime had a long
history of cooperation with Islamic terrorists and was a
legitimate target in the Global War on Terror.
A man who once spied for Saddam Hussein would later sit with
First Lady Laura Bush at the 2006 State of the Union speech.
Another man who nearly became the Prime Minister of Pakistan
ran messages between Mulla Omar, leader of the Taliban and
Saddam Hussein. In those meetings which included the Defense
Minister of the Taliban, Saddam’s top spy agreed to join with
the Taliban in secret cooperation even as they protected al
Qaeda as it prepared the 9/11 attacks. Another man met with
Saddam’s official and told him the Iranians had sent him 2000
men to train and requested help from Saddam for a “center” in
Baghdad. He is a notorious terror trainer who would later pledge
himself to Usama bin Laden. This terrorist was a regular at
Saddam’s door.
A set of secret orders from Saddam instructed his intelligence
service to work with Islamic fighters against the US forces in
Somalia in 1993. Documents from al Qaeda would show that just
two days after the order, Usama bin Laden’s number two man
would summon his terror trainers and order them to Somalia.
Within months, the Battle of Mogadishu would occur as Americans
were gunned down by a combination of Islamic militants and a
warlord’s fighters. Other documents show that Palestinians from
the terror group Hamas were in Baghdad and in contact with the
regime even as US forces prepared to invade in 2003.
And perhaps even more ominous is the fact that the day before
the anthrax attack began in the United States, Saddam ordered
his officials to be on the lookout for a “poison paper” attack
from Iranian agents. Was it a coincidence or an attempt to
deflect blame?
Even as al Qaeda prepared to attack the US and Christian sites
in the Middle East, documents show Saddam making attack plans
of an eerily similar nature to al Qaeda’s plans. These secret
documents contain a ton of reasons to believe that Saddam was
indeed working with terrorists to attack the United States.
But you won’t hear much about these things in the American media.
They don’t want you to know that Saddam really did work with our
enemies and against us. They don’t want you to know that Saddam
was working with al Qaeda because it would justify the Iraq war.
Broader Context
The story revealed in these pages shows that the United States
was correct in accessing that Saddam Hussein was a threat because
of his support to terrorism. The United States was right to
remove Saddam Hussein from power and stay to fight al Qaeda
in Iraq.

“We are assured by high-minded folks that we know for a fact that
Saddam Hussein and his regime had no connection to al Qaeda. But
we don’t know that for a fact. We know as the 9/11 Commission
reported that we have no direct evidence on ongoing collaboration
between Saddam’s regime and al Qaeda. But we don’t know for sure
that there was none. Robison’s post points in the other direction.”

Hi Shaz,
Thanks for the above. Yes, I agree with all your comments. Here’s hoping all is well for President Bush - and the rest of us!
As for Mr Blair’s new job - well - I felt a bit as though I’d won the lottery when I heard this last night!!
With all his contacts you can imagine how busy he’s going to be this year! And not a lot of time left to run the EU, eh?
Wonderful stuff - and so deserved.
