The “MUST” business is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE! Who do these idiots think they are?

The native, historical Brit understands that there is no “MUST” in democracy. We vote and accept the will of the majority as our electoral system allows for the parliamentary term, while forming our various interest groups to pressurise for change, peacefully and hopefully. We do not ORDER the government around as they try to perform their duties.

That is the point of this post – DEMOCRACY is at risk, not just our cultural history and freedom of religious worship – (or none).

And those who cry the loudest that civil/human rights are MORE important are falling at the first hurdle.

Our Civil & Human Rights developed BECAUSE of democracy, not the other way round. The Magna Carta is cited as the be-all and end-all, as though it has somehow just recently been dumped. Utter rubbish! For centuries we went on to abuse its tenets. Developing DEMOCRACY, and NOT the Magna Carta per se has made us what we are – or were!

And now our present attachments to “civil and human rights” is biting us where it hurts. But many of us are too anaesthetised by the confusing mixture of rights/responsibilities/democratic freedoms/liberty/historical baggage and guilt/compassion as well as hatred for ‘the other’ to even notice this.

We must … MUST … pay more attention.

ALL absolute rubbish of course! The sad and worrying thing is that some in our country seem to believe these conspiracies. I wouldn’t be too concerned if I thought only dull, stupid people believed them but some in our own “liberal” press swallow this gunk too!

Iran’s Ahmadinejad can spout about the truth or otherwise of the holocaust for all he’s worth – (he’s worth very little to me). But when our own people swallow this, there is a major education job to be done.

The government would NEVER have allowed this, although ‘False Flags’ have been used in the past even by western democracies. It is TOO easy in our open democracy for leaks to spring, even if they had thought of it and were willing to sacrifice lives!

Conspiracy theorists say, as regards 7/7, “well OK, the PM might not want his family blown up on the tube, so MI5 just told him that there was an ‘operation’ that day, and not to use the tube”.

In other words, if the PM doesn’t know, the secret services will do the job anyway.

Whatever you do, you can’t reason with conspiracy theorists. There’s always another conspiracy they can unearth to prove themselves right!
