They are most DEFINITELY kicking themselves, Margaret. Of that I have no doubt.

We cannot be sure that Blair would have done much better, because the press have had it in for him for years, and a lot of the financial problems would have happened anyway. But at least we would have had a leader who can communicate.

And Blair could have handed over to Brown THIS summer, as he originally wanted to, or even next year, just before Brown could have called a general election as the new broom!

In the meantime Blair would have counteracted Cameron and shown him up for the empty vessel he is. At the moment Cameron lays all the punches on the “clunking fist” (that we all assumed was Brown) and Brown hardly lays a finger on Cameron.

Although I have always had my doubts about the owner of the fist!

I think there were a lot of protest voters out in force i only hope they sit up and take notice but i think it is to late.I don’t like Alex Salmond at all i want to keep the union.Finally oh how i miss Tony Blair.

blair must be sad at labour’s downfall but satisfied that what goes around comes around in that many labour backbenchers are calling for brown’s resignation. the american papers are showing blair meeting obama this morning then brown and you can see in the pictures the irony of brown’s situation in blair and brown’s faces.as for the election there were 2 currans and was there possibility of people voting for the wrong curran. as for iran war how can he blame blair for this. and brown could also lose his seat if the swing we saw in glasgow repeats itself something blair never had to deal with or contemplate. the labour party must now be kicking itself over what they lost. the best politician in the world now and they effectively dump him. poor mr blair and as for gordon brown who knows.
