Warning of Fraudulent Activity
The Tony Blair Faith Foundation has discovered that a group of individuals are falsely representing themselves as working on behalf of the Tony Blair Faith Foundation.
There have been advertisements regarding various conferences as well as regarding the award of a ‘Humanitarian Grant’. The most recent advertisement was for a conference taking place from the 27th to the 31st October 2008 in London. They are seeking a variety of fees as ‘registration costs’, while suggesting that the Tony Blair Faith Foundation will pay for all other costs.
Please note that THESE SOLICITATIONS ARE FRAUDULENT AND ENTIRELY UNCONNECTED TO THE WORK OF THE TONY BLAIR FAITH FOUNDATION. We are taking legal steps to address this matter.
If you are unsure about any communication about or from the Tony Blair Faith Foundation, please forward it to info@tonyblairfaithfoundation.org and we will be able to verify its authenticity.
The following entitled hoaxes have thus far been brought to our attention:
- ‘Award of a Charity Grant in the 2008 Economic Empowerment Scheme’, which they say will have an award ceremony held on the 30th September 2008.
- ‘An International Conference: The Role of Government and NGOs in Combating Major Health/Social Problems in our Global Society’, which they say will be held between the 20th to 24th October 2008.
- ‘An International Conference: The Role of Government and NGOs in Combating Major Health/Social Problems in our Global Society’, which they say will be held between the 27th to 31st October 2008
- ‘An International Conference: ‘Youth/Women Empowerment and HIV/AIDS Prevention- The Way Forward’, which they say will be held between the 17th to 21st November 2008.
