I’m still to be convinced on the natural citizen business, one way or the other, simply because of the fact that he doesn’t yet seem to have put this story to bed, which wouldn’t have been all that difficult to do.

Having said that I am not a conspiracy theorist, and Berg is a BIG 9/11 conspiracy theorist.

As for the anti-Christ business which you refer to at your site, that rings no bells with me. I don’t easily fall back on the ‘let’s get him at any price’ stuff that some do. I saw enough of that here over the hounding of Tony Blair. It’s destructive. And he too was, and probably still is, described as the anti-Christ.

Anyway, I’ll keep an eye on this story to see if and how it develops.

And you are right about being concerned about Obama, no matter what country you live in, especially because Obama wants to be the PRESIDENT OF THE WORLD. And based on the fact that our American media is so scared to even report on this story, since they are so afraid of being called names, [dreaded R" word, aka "racist"] he might even get that chance.

Plain and simple, it is a conspiracy theory and like most completely baseless and posed upon the “possibility” that people had reason to forge public documents. In this case, clearly the “secretary” who issued the official birth certificate whether the original or not, had no motive for simply lying or misrepresenting the truth as, at that time, there was nothing to be gained for her/him.

The assertion that this is not proof, is irrelevant, whether the “original” document, or not. Loss of an original is incredibly common; that’s why the state keeps “an original” to allow for such certification as has been legally provided by Obama.

I have 10 official birth certificates but no original, and if someone tried to suggest I was not actually born in Rome, GA just because I lost a piece of paper, and they suggested there was some kind of “conspiracy”, I would punch them in the nose if I thought they could possibly stand in the way of my rightful citizenship. Fortunately, the procedures of any state forgo such challenges and rightly so.

Such “whisper campaigns” are the lowest form of gossip and, in this case, so damaging because of the sheer importance of this political decision.

But if Berg can’t have his claims taken seriously by the courts, or is proved to be wrong, that would seem to be the end of it.

I’m not a great one for conspiracy theories, but I still ask why Obama doesn’t just come right out and provide the information.

Perhaps he will produce the papers this week, thus eliciting more sympathy (as some think he is doing with the ’sick Grandma’ story). Then he could claim that the ‘racist Right’ were showing their true colours all along in pursuing him erroneously.

So, agreed, this is radioactive for the Republican party and its candidate. It’s up to Berg and the seven or so others who are taking it to state courts, I guess.

Perhaps they ARE wrong.

There are plenty of people who think like this, though that kind of disregard for the rules tends to be believed by people on the Left of people and parties of the Right.

But if what you are saying is true, both sides would rather let the other side into office than pull the plug on a huge deceit on the electorate (such as this Obama birthplace business, if it is true). That seems highly unlikely and against human and political behaviour.

On the other hand, if there is any truth in this story, and the Republicans have not unearthed it, WHY NOT?

That’s why I’m still taking it with a large pinch of salt.

Your premise means that both parties KNOW there is something not right here, but both are ignoring it for reasons best known to themselves.

I can’t really imagine that the Republicans would want the constitution to be changed AFTER the event of Obama winning. That could usher in all sorts of unsavoury characters.

Then again there may be one or two individuals who do not comply with the constitution’s rules, that BOTH sides might be happy with. Well, I can think of one.

Who knows … knows, as they say.

They already tried to get Arnold ok’d for the presidency and have already had bills on the floor for this exact situation.

So, if they get him in, then it would be easy to sell the “mistake” and ammend the Constitution!

Remember, they do not play within the laws, the rules of late are to break them and then write new laws to fit what you are doing! Kind of like a dictatorship with elections and a change of the guard every so often so we have the appearance of democracy!
