The story has broken that Obama’s Aunt Zeituni is an illegal immigrant and has been living in Boston for at least five years and possibly eight (see here). This news raises many questions of course, and to Obama supporters the main questions will be – why is it coming out now, and who broke it?

WASHINGTON (AP) – Barack Obama’s aunt, a Kenyan woman who has been quietly living in public housing in Boston, is in the United States illegally after an immigration judge rejected her request for asylum four years ago, The Associated Press has learned. Zeituni Onyango, 56, referred to as “Aunti Zeituni” in Obama’s memoir, was instructed to leave the United States by a U.S. immigration judge who denied her asylum request, a person familiar with the matter told the AP late Friday. This person spoke on condition of anonymity because no one was authorized to discuss Onyango’s case.

Information about the deportation case was disclosed and confirmed by two separate sources, one of them a federal law enforcment official. The information they made available is known to officials in the federal government, but the AP could not establish whether anyone at a political level in the Bush administration or in the McCain campaign had been involved in its release.

But there are other questions too on her status. For instance, why did Obama not tell her she was required to return home, or suggest that she appeal against this decision? Or hadn’t he noticed she’d been in the country for years? I am not conversant with American judisprudence, but here in the good ol’ UK many illegal immigrants win on appeal.  And many of them are not exactly pleasant upstanding British citizen material. I’d guess this good lady would have been allowed to stay, had she solid reasons so to do.

In The Times on Thursday, it was reported that Obama’s aunt said she’d talk to the press AFTER November 5th. Now it seems that the press will be hounding her day and night right up to November 4th.

Speaking outside her home in Flaherty Way, South Boston, on Tuesday, Ms Onyango, 56, confirmed she was the “Auntie Zeituni” in Mr Obama’s memoir. She declined to answer most other questions about her relationship with the presidential contender until after the November 4 election. “I can’t talk about it, I just pray for him, that’s all,” she said, adding: “After the 4th, I can talk to anyone.”

ELECTION DONATIONS & THE LAW

In The Times today, Saturday, attention is drawn to “illegal payments” made by his aunt to Obama’s campaign. Quite whether or not they are illegal I have no idea.

But I did laugh out loud at this comment, which in the time-honoured way of the blindfolded, completely misses the point:

“Leave the poor woman alone. $260 is hugely significant to her but not to the Presidential Campaign. God forbid an old lady might support her nephew.”

“An old lady“?

At 56 she is approaching early middle age, I’ll have you know!

And she is only a year older than Tony Blair! Does this commenter want the feral press to leave him alone too because he’s getting on a bit?  “Poor old guy”.

Nah! I imagine such as this commenter want the press to pursue Mr Blair until the end of his days for supporting the USA, and other such “crimes”.

And apart from that Ms Zeituni is ONLY NINE YEARS OLDER THAN HER NEPHEW OBAMA – THE “YOUNG MAN“ ABOUT TO CHANGE/SAVE THE WORLD!

Honestly, the lack of rigorous thought on the internet and the atrocious double standards disgust me.

RUMOURS & THE LAW

The ongoing rumours about Obama’s candidature’s legitimacy as a “natural born citizen” have been largely ignored by the mainstream press. Perhaps they are right to do so. But the lack of satisfaction by many as regards the legitimacy of the birth certificate he shows at his site – “Fight The Smears” will still linger, whether or not all the cases of those such as Philip Berg fail in the courts.  I can still see no reason that Mr Obama would have allowed this mud to stick to his name when it all could have been resolved so easily on production of a verified birth certificate, and its distribution with nothing blacked out, to the world’s media.

And with this reveraltion on his aunt, which is NOT a rumour, but fact, the cries may get louder still – IS MORE THAN OBAMA’S AUNT ILLEGAL?”

HOW LONG HAS SHE BEEN IN THE USA? FOUR YEARS/FIVE/EIGHT?

The Times 30th October:

A photograph of Ms Onyango was later shown to George Hussein Onyango, Barack Obama’s half-brother in Nairobi, who confirmed that it was their aunt. George Onyango, 26, the youngest child of Barack Obama Sr, said that he had spent weekends with his Aunt Zeituni when he was growing up, and instantly recognised her.

George Onyango said that his aunt had left for the US about eight years ago but sent him e-mails. “She left to find work and I suppose she thought her life would be better there,” he said. “She was kind and caring.”

Today’s Guardian: OBAMA DIDN’T KNOW HIS AUNT WAS LIVING IN THE USA ILLEGALLY

WHAT? REALLY?

It’s possible, of course, and only he and she and anyone else party to their conversations will know the truth. Forgive me for being sceptical.

And if Mr Obama believes “the law should take its course”, we’ll forgibe him for not looking out for his aunt’s well-being and legintimacy  as a citizen. But we might just note that the law’s “course” yesterday is, according to reports, different from its course today.

“Onyango’s case coming to light just days before the presidential election led to an unusual nationwide directive within Immigrations and Customs Enforcement requiring that any deportations before Tuesday’s election be approved at least at the level of the agency’s regional directors, the U.S. law enforcement official told the AP.

The directive suggests that the administration is sensitive to the political implications of Onyango’s case coming to light so close to the election.”

Please Note: All of the above sections include the words “THE LAW”. This was not incidental.

I have no say in this election, not being an American citizen, and non-Americans will have no choice but to accept whichever president the American election produces. I am sure that both candidates have the good of all of the people in their country in mind. I do believe that most politicians have honourable intentions.

But there is little point in pretending that I am 100% on board the Obama-Dream, or that I do not wonder if there is some nefarious history or at least some intrigue in the campaign of at least one, and possibly both of the candidates.

But in the main I have deep concerns about Obama’s foreign policy, since it will affect all of us. In opposition to many in Europe I believe that we need to face up to the threats and not apologise, draw back or try to be loved by those who are pre-programmed to hate and fear us. It doesn’t work like that, I’m afraid. I wish it did.

Oh, and just as a little afterthought – did you know the first step has been taken to change the American Constitution?

THE AMERICAN CONSTITUTION AND ITS RECENT ALTERATION

WHAT? YOU MEAN YOU HADN’T NOTICED?

ACCORDING TO “TULSA TODAY”

In the same radio interview, Obama said: “I think we can say that, uh, uh, the Constitution reflected a enormous blind spot in this culture that carries on until this day and — and, uh, — and, uh, that the framers had that same blind spot.”

“This is how he views the Supreme Court,” Limbaugh railed. “And he will have the power to populate it with people who believe in those very things. How is he going to place his hand on the Bible and swear that he, Barack Hussein Obama, will uphold the Constitution that he feels reflects the nation’s fundamental flaw?”

It is now no wonder that Obama has refused to provide his birth certificate! He wants to circumvent the Constitution and, by so doing, “prove” that it’s a fundamentally flawed document, worthy of the efforts he and his radical far-left acolytes will lead to challenge every Amendment in the Bill of Rights, including: freedom of speech, freedom of religion, the right to keep and bear arms, freedom of assembly, freedom to petition, and the prohibition against depriving any citizen of life, liberty, and property, et al.

THIS WAS THEIR FIRST STEP

In April of this year, a number of Obama’s congressional supporters – including Gov. Claire McCaskill (D-MOi), Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK), Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY), and Sen. James Webb (D-VA) –proposed  and passed a Resolution (S.Res.511) entitled: Recognizing that John Sidney McCain, III, is a natural born citizen.

Duh.

This was the Resolution:
·  Whereas the Constitution of the United States requires that, to be eligible for the Office of the President, a person must be a `natural born Citizen’ of the United States;
·  Whereas the term `natural born Citizen’, as that term appears in Article II, Section 1, is not defined in the Constitution of the United States;
·  Whereas there is no evidence of the intention of the Framers or any Congress to limit the constitutional rights of children born to Americans serving in the military nor to prevent those children from serving as their country’s President;
·  Whereas such limitations would be inconsistent with the purpose and intent of the `natural born Citizen’ clause of the Constitution of the United States, as evidenced by the First Congress’s own statute defining the term `natural born Citizen’;
·  Whereas the well-being of all citizens of the United States is preserved and enhanced by the men and women who are assigned to serve our country outside of our national borders;
·  Whereas previous presidential candidates were born outside of the United States of America and were understood to be eligible to be President; and
·  Whereas John Sidney McCain, III, was born to American citizens on an American military base in the Panama Canal Zone in 1936: Now, therefore, be it
·  Resolved, That John Sidney McCain, III, is a `natural born Citizen’ under Article II, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United Calendar No. 715110th CONGRESS2d SessionS. RES. 511RESOLUTIONRecognizing that John Sidney McCain, III, is a natural born citizen.April 24, 2008. Reported without amendment States.

Just how dumb do McCaskill and Obama & Co. think the American people are? Here they attempt to create a blanket Resolution that says ALL foreign-born candidates are eligible for the U.S. presidency, when in fact McCain did not need this Resolution and neither did Bill Richardson when he ran for president this year. In fact, to my knowledge no presidential nominee in American history has ever needed a Resolution of this kind until Obama – who has still not produced a valid birth certificate! – entered the race. So why this weird Resolution? Clearly so Obama could circumvent the Constitution he finds so distasteful.According to Raymond S. Kraft, an attorney and writer: “The president, The Supreme Court justices, and all members of Congress, have taken an oath to defend and protect the Constitution and have an affirmative duty to protect the Constitution by doing whatever is necessary to insure that presidential (and congressional) candidates meet the Constitutional requirements for the offices they seek. It is a mandatory duty, and failure to do so violate their oaths of office. If they don’t follow this oath in Obama’s case, it will be the biggest swindle in American history, allowing Obama and the DNC to have concealed his true identity and lack of citizenship, thereby conning Democrats out of hundreds of millions of dollars of campaign contributions. REACTIONS TO THIS NEWS

Still to some, this little discovery is NO problem. Perhaps their hope is that ALL illegals will be excused in a rushed piece of legislation. After all, that’s only another 10 million citizens ready to vote next time round! Not that I’m suggesting anything, mind you.  Would I ever?

And this site – The Muckraker says that the chair of the House Judiciary Committee is really miffed about this “leak”. Not, note,  about the possibility that a presidential candidate has, possibly, been less than honest or at least negligent as a senator about an illegal relative, but about the fact that we now KNOW about it!
