WILDERS TO BE CLAPPED IN IRONS AND SENT BACK TO PLUG THE HOLE IN HOLLAND’S DYKE
BRITAIN’S DEFENCES ARE ALREADY BREACHED

See no evil? SHAMEFUL. Brown & his Home Secretary have banned an honest European from Britain while allowing criminal jihadists to wander free.
I have to tell you I am FUMING over this. Tomorrow I intend to add a further post and links, possibly prior to Mr Wilders being clapped in irons for entering Britain – for threatening no-one in this land where such as Abu Hamza and Anjem Choudary are permitted to run free and to loudly proclaim to all and sundry their Violence/Jihad training mantra.
From The Lambeth Walk via The International Free Press Society
…Geert Wilders has been asked not to come to the UK to screen Fitna on Thursday, due to ‘internal security concerns’. Here is a link to the actual letter sent from the ‘UK Border Agency’ to Mr Wilders, courtesy of Gates of Vienna.
It’s a shame we never had those security concerns when the government invited hundreds of thousands of Muslim immigrants against the will of the public…
But in any case, Mr Wilders says he will still come. Will the authorities have the gall to arrest him at the airport? That will undoubtedly delight many European Muslims and leftists, but it will also draw worldwide attention to Mr Wilders, his cause, and just how weak and feeble the British government has become, as well as making us an international laughing stock.
What also amuses and infuriates me is the government generally pleads impotence on all EU related matters; suddenly they have the confidence to talk of barring or arresting an elected MP from another EU nation, despite the protests of that nation’s government. If I was a cynic, I’d find that a little suspicious.
If you are against this purely political, cowardly act, I would respectfully urge you to do any or all of the following:
You can write to Irving Jones, the flunky who sent the letter to Mr Wilders on behalf of the Secretary of State, at:

For once in my life, I find myself crossing my fingers that someone will invoke the protection of the ubiquitous European Human Rights Act. However, as Mr Wilders is not a convicted criminal, an illegal immigrant or an Imam, I don’t hold out much hope for his cause.
Perhaps he should compromise and agree to stick to actions which are slightly less controversial whilst here, like attacking the police or screaming for the next Holocaust.
This works for some people.
Update to the above:
The Lambeth Walk has drafted out this letter for anyone who feels they have neither the time nor inclination to work out their own treatise. To use this in a separate document, place your cursor at the start, hold down the left mouse button and drag to select to the end of the red type. Then right click your mouse and click ‘copy’. Then open a Word or Notepad/Wordpad program and go to Edit/Paste. The letter will then appear for you to add your own address details etc. It may need to be altered if you are British, of course. Not hard to do.
Dear Mr Miliband/Ms. Smith
I am writing to you regarding the decision to prevent the Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders from entering the United Kingdom.
You claim that he is a threat to ‘internal security’, however your government has been directly responsible for several controversial Imams who preach hate on a daily basis being allowed to remain in the UK.
Your government has admitted that it has no idea of the real number of illegal immigrants in the country, yet when it comes to a democratically elected MP from an EU nation, you feel qualified to exercise border control.
Your government recently hosted the Premier of China, a country with an appalling human rights record, without complaint. His visit caused some severe disturbances in London and elsewhere, yet you did not dare to bar him and you would certainly not have had him arrested upon entry. Why is that?
Mr Miliband, to me Britain has always stood for freedom; however your treatment of Mr Wilders is nothing short of bullying. The Netherlands is a small country and a European partner. You hope they would not dare make too much of a fuss about this because you perceive Mr Wilders‘ views as wrong and unpopular; however I can assure you they are neither.
If the British government upholds this ban, I will boycott British goods and/or refrain from travelling to Britain until such a time as the ban is lifted. Britain owes it to the world as a democratic power to uphold the values of free speech it has always held so dear; your government’s hypocrisy is making that impossible. You would not dare to treat an MP from a larger nation this way, and you are bringing shame on Britain throughout the world.
I urge you to reconsider.
Yours sincerely,
The Rt. Hon. David Miliband MP

Thanks for posting this. I drafted the letter because I really hope that if as many people as possible write, it may make some difference. Of course, if you are British, you can still technically boycott British goods, but what might be more effective is hitting them where it hurts – withdraw your vote from Labour at the next election, even if you’re a traditional supporter.
Today was a terrible day to be British; but it might be the wake up call some of us still need.

You’re welcome, “Venerable”.
Must get around to doing my own letters too. I have been busy writing another post on the Wilders ban fiasco.
As you say, a dreadful day for freedom of speech. I wonder what the mainstream press will make of it?
It seems to me that the government has shot itself in the foot over this. Wilders has scored.

I thought the government had painted itself into a corner as soon as they banned him. It was always either back down and embarrass yourself or detain him and embarrass yourself.
I’m yet to hear any mainstream government figure explain why, if Fitna is so ridiculous, extremist, wrong etc etc it can’t simply be defeated with a measured, reasoned response.
As you say, own goal for the government; I have friends who detested Wilders or didn’t know his name who now back him. Shame his extra publicity had to come at the expense of making Britain a laughing stock really, but oh well.

Excellent point – on the reasoned response, or lack of. It might just be that Wilders points CAN’T be defeated in that way. And once the cat’s out of the bag, people will be more likely to feel free to ask questions. Questions which our overly-pc society has clamped down on heavily in recent years. And one question will lead inexorably to another.
We cant have our whole raison d’etre questioned, now can we?
Too painful.
Th truth hurts?
You’ve made me think of something else here too. Is ANY MP going to answer questions on this in any forum? Or do they think they can make a few bland remarks and it’ll all fade away?
It won’t be mentioned in PMQs next Wednesday – old hat by then. And the Tories haven’t even commented on it. And the Lib Dems? They must be all of a muddled – free speech or someone who questions multiculturalism – what a choice!?!?!? What to DO?
This affair has made me even more aware of the dearth of real political nous and talent in our political parties right now. Lord Ahmed seems to be the only one they can wheel out over Wilders and we know where HE stands. Of course Keith Vaz was on Newsnight tonight. He was atrocious, I thought. He even admitted he hasn’t seen Fitna. Hasn’t he got a computer? Poor old soul.

I have written three blog posts about this incident, and have just received 3 replies from MPs and Euro MPs forwarded to me from other bloggers. If anyone else has a reply from their MP yet, please also forward to me. I will update the page as more information comes in. It also has links to other blogs and youtube videos of MPs defending and supporting the decision.
