Protesters at the Soldiers Home-coming in Luton. Placards say: "Anglian Soldiers - Criminals, Murderers, Terrorists, Butchers of Basra." Bright lot, eh?

Comment at end

11th March, 2009

As British troops return from Iraq and are greeted by a large supporting crowd in Luton, Bedfordshire, a gang of useless retards insults their efforts. Keep it up, simpletons. That’s the way to do it.

Crazy Muslim Cleric Anjem Choudary chants his s**t on GMTV and ends up looking a tit

(The YouTube channel’s words, not mine)

Can also be seen here at GMTV’s site. They also have a poll: “Should protesters be banned from homecoming parades for British soldiers?” The results right now are that over 93% say yes, they should be banned. (Update Thursday 12th – poll now 86%/14%. See Daily Mail.)

Personally, I disagree. I am one of the 7%. For these reasons:

  1. The sooner people all over Britain SEE what we are dealing with here, the better.
  2. I disapprove of the ban on Geert Wilders. Why? On the argument that we should ALL be bound by the same laws. Wilders should have been free to come here and say what he things of the koran. Wilders calls for no violence, but he has had experience of it when fellow countrymen were killed for speaking freely in the Netherlands, their own country. They died at the hands of fundamentalist Islamists. For speaking out in his own country Wilders is faced with death threats, again from radical Islamists.  Jordan wants him deported to stand trail for insulting Islam, and in his own country, the Netherlands, is due to put him on trial for inciting hatred against Muslims. I cannot and will not argue for WILDERS’ freedom of speech while supporting the banning of such as Choudary’s henchmen. No matter that I KNOW how far these radicalists’ statements of hurt and betrayal are from their real agenda. As for our soldiers? They have faced tougher men than the Luton Twenty.
  3. Only by airing ALL views and seeing where ALL are coming from and where ALL wish to lead us, can we understand the choices.  Our government is selective and/or running scared as to which prejudices we should be aware of.
  4. Another reason that I think these people should be free to speak is to out Guardian-type journos who blame the ‘meeja‘ for giving the radicals publicity. We need to OUT them too.  They are also trying to silence us. In this video, Inayat Bunglawala, of the Muslim Council of Britain is accused of previous terrorist stances and of supporting Hamas, and Bin Laden. Watch video here. Here Bunglawala praises Brown’s government for outlawing the use of plain English thus: “instead of using phrase such as ‘Islamist terrorists’ (as in Blair’s plainer speaking days), which were alienating people” (what! who? why?) “the Gordon Brown government has changed [...] and is now seeing a reciprocation from Muslims themselves … (Is he? Is the Brown government REALLY seeing such reciprocations?)  Bunglawala also says, “Jihad is a very noble concept about self-honour.” Five months before 9/11, Mr Bunglawala also circulated writings of Osama bin Laden, who he regarded as a “freedom fighter”, to hundreds of Muslims in Britain. The author Shiv Malek questions and criticises Bunglawala here in this Newsnight video. Very ably done too, Mr Malek. [You might want to watch Tony Blair on the UK terror threat in his last few months on office. THIS is what we are presently lacking. Leadership and clear thinking.]

Back to Choudary today. Following the disgraceful behaviour of a group of Muslims yesterday in Luton.

Their disturbance of the home-coming welcome for the troops in Luton was disgraceful. They have made few friends from this stupid outing. And they have alienated many, even within their own communities.

This half-wit compares the British government to Adolf Hitler. What he means is that the present government, and particularly Tony Blair’s government, were behaving like Nazis in their invasion of Iraq. Of course, the opposite is the case. They were trying to do away with a destructive dictatorship. And they succeeded. Today’s Nazis are the likes of Choudary whose plan is for world-wide domination by a political religious creed. This plan for a worldwide caliphate has never been denied by him.

The excuse for a man needs to be seen for what he is:

A CALIPHATE PROMOTER WHO IS …

  • AMBITIOUS FOR THE FLAG OF ISLAM TO FLY OVER DOWNING STREET
  • A RADICAL ISLAMIST FUNDAMENTALIST EXTREMIST: He lauded the September 11 hijackers as ‘magnificent martyrs’ and praised Asif Hanif, the British suicide bomber who killed three in Tel Aviv in 2003. After the July 7 atrocities in London, he vowed he would not tell the police if he knew a terror attack was being planned and urged Muslims to defend themselves against perceived attacks by ‘whatever means they have at their disposal’.
  • A LIAR
  • AN INCITER OF RACIAL AND CIVIL UNREST: “Islam is superior – we will take over from within” (Sep 2008)
  • AN INCITER OF TERROR ATTACKS: After the July 7 atrocities in London, he vowed he would not tell the police if he knew a terror attack was being planned and urged Muslims to defend themselves against perceived attacks by ‘whatever means they have at their disposal’.
  • RELIGIOUSLY PREJUDICED – “Only Muslims are innocent”
  • A MAN FRUSTRATED BECAUSE OF HIS FAILURE TO TURN SENSIBLE MODERATE PEOPLE AGAINST TONY BLAIR,  OUR ARMED FORCES, OUR PRESENT GOVERNMENT AND OUR COUNTRY’S FOREIGN POLICY.
  • A MAN WHO STATES HE HAS NO ALLEGIANCE TO THIS COUNTRY (Britain): Despite his hatred of all things British – he says: “If British means adopting British values, then I don’t think we can adopt British values. I’m a Muslim living in Britain. I have a British passport, but that’s a travel document to me” – he and his family live on state benefits. He also said,”Yes, I was born in Britain. If you were born in a barn it doesn’t make you a horse.”
  • SECOND-IN-COMMAND TO OMAR BAKRI, THE ISLAMICIST BANNED FROM BRITAIN FOR running a banned group al-Muhajiroun … see Militant Islam Monitor, July 2005. In 1996 Choudary & Bakri both attended a London rally held by Al Muhajiroun.  That was before Blair came to power, before 9/11, before the Iraq invasion, before 7/7/2005!  Read more on Al Muhajiroun.

When and why was Omar Bakri banned from Britain? What is Choudary, the man who called for the Pope’s execution – REALLY up to now? Well last week he was hosting a little show in Harrow bringing Bakri by satellite to the minions.

PROOF OF THIS? YOU WANT PROOF of my points on this awful man? It’s here at my HardTalk interview and transcript post.

I spent some time transposing Choudary’s interview video into words, from his HardTalk televised interview a week or so after the 7/7/2005 attacks in London which left 52 people dead and hundreds injured. I was so motivated to write this out by the fact that I could not find the transcript anywhere online.

Well, now you can read it and watch the programme in its shameful entirety (for as long as the video is still available.)

ARRESTS MADE AT LUTON CELEBRATION/DEMO

Before you get excited – you should note this:

THE INCREDIBLE NEWS AFTER THIS CRASS BEHAVIOUR IS THAT IT WAS TWO PEOPLE PROTESTING AGAINST THE PROTESTERS PROTESTING AGAINST THE TROOPS WHO WERE ARRESTED – NOT ANY OF THE PROTESTERS THEMSELVES.  THEY CLEARLY WERE DOING NOTHING INCITEFUL!

IF YOU SUPPORT THE TROOPS YOU ARE CLEARLY MORE LIKELY TO BE ARRESTED THAN IF YOU SUPPORT RADICAL ISLAMISTS IN BROWN’S BRITAIN.

And Choudary and his ilk are free in this lame excuse for a democracy to incite another day.

NOTE THE CHOICE PHRASES ON THE BANNERS OF THE PROTESTERS AT LUTON

“Anglian Soldiers: Butchers of Basra” and “Anglian Soldiers: cowards, killers, extremists.”

Muslim Anti-war protesters hurled insults at homecoming soldiers in Luton yesterday. A Muslim anti-war protest which marred a parade for soldiers returning from Iraq was today branded “insulting” and “sordid”.

Two people were arrested after a disturbance broke out in Luton as soldiers from the 2nd Battalion The Royal Anglian Regiment, known as The Poachers, paraded in the town centre today.

A group of Muslim protesters, who were hemmed in by police as the parade marched past, waved placards with slogans including: “Anglian Soldiers: Butchers of Basra” and “Anglian Soldiers: cowards, killers, extremists.”

Script from the GMTV Exclusive interview/video

The head of the Luton protest group – the deplorable Anjem Choudary was the star turn:

“Definitely there will be a reaction to the people who condemn the British torture, humiliation and crimes which have been committed in Iraq. There is no doubt there is a very strong media machine out there, which is effectively covering up the crimes which the British and Americans have committed in Iraq, Afghanistan, Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay etc and usually it’s only when organisations like ourselves expose those hideous crimes, there is a reaction like this.

“I believe that I have a responsibility to speak up…why is it when two soldiers are killed, there are people demonstrating in Ireland that are praised, but when thousands upon thousands are killed, then suddenly that’s completely out of order. The problem is the general public are in blissful ignorance of what’s taking place around the world. The reality is that if we’d had this demonstration at another time, when the parade was not taking place, there probably wouldn’t have been the same coverage and I wouldn’t be sitting here now.”

Widespread condemnation

The protests were today condemned by both Defence Secretary John Hutton and his Conservative counterpart Dr Liam Fox.

Mr Hutton said: “I want to pay tribute to the 2nd Battalion, The Royal Anglian Regiment who have served their country with great bravery and professionalism.

“I can only condemn the tiny minority who used this opportunity to make, whatever their personal views, utterly ridiculous and insulting comments to these brave men and women.”

Dr Fox added: “This is offensive, appalling and disgraceful.

“It is only because of the sacrifices made by our Armed Forces that these people live in a free society where they are able to make their sordid protests.”

The GMTV interviewer Kate Garrowy said to him: “Many people are asking why do you stay here?”

His response? SUDDENLY HE WAS BORN IN THIS COUNTRY!!! And he continued, “So as far as you’re concerned I’m as British as anyone else.” PLEASE NOTE THIS PHRASE – “as far as you’re concerned”. It should also be noted by such as the dullard Matthew Wright (see below). The reason this British born and British based trained lawyer used that particular phrase is because, THIS TIME, it’s true – AS FAR AS YOU ARE CONCERNED. (In other words, he is now telling you of the depth of your moral certainties and their ensuing responsibilities. You MUST support his rights! Meanwhile he works his ‘moral relativism’ into the softened liberal British mind.)

As far as he is concerned this is what he REALLY thinks:

“If you’re born in a barn it doesn’t make you a horse”. Uttered just after 7/7 when asked about his allegiance to Britain. And,  “No, I have no allegiance to Britain or to the Prime Minister.”

He also said in the GMTV interview:

“I have a different ideology …”

“Saddam Hussein is a dictator so is Husni Mabarak so are many of the leaders, in fact all of the leaders who are leading and ruling over Muslim lands.  However they are our dictators. We can remove them. “

That explains why “all” of these leaders are still dictators – because his crowd of incompetents can remove them!

IDIOT -

“The problem is that the general public are in blissful ignorance of what ‘s taking place around the world and in their name.” – He’s right there, but not in the way he thinks.

“This is an illegal war” – Rubbish again!

“We stand up for the truth” - !!!! They wouldn’t know the truth if it slapped them in the face.

“Children killed because of the sanctions”- PRIZE IDIOT

This is not a crime on the part of those who imposed sanctions, Prize Idiot. Presumably if sanctions had not been tried, war would have come earlier. That would have made you happier, eh?

None of the airing of this argument is helped by the simplistic, brainwashed p.c./left thinking of such as this idiotic broadcaster Matthew Wright – of the WRIGHT … WRONG stuff.

Anglian regiment Luton Islamic protest -Left wing Wright defends Muslim Extremists…AGAIN!

Without giving his caller the right to reply to this rant – (the only suitable description of his repost to this woman – it could have been written by Anjem Choudary) – Wright neatly shows us WHY we have such a problem in this country. I hesitate to use the phrase ‘simple minded broadcasters for simple minded people’. I know it is easy to become seduced by the “I am all for inclusiveness”, argument.

Asked who was right and who was wrong by Wright, the caller, Sally, says,

“Well, they were were particularly wrong, the protesters …  I feel. The wording on their placards and the wording that they were shouting in my opinion was inciting racial hatred and violence.

Wright: “Yeah”.

Sally:  Our boys aren’t out there to kill civilians, babies,  mothers and other children. They’re not sent out there for that purpose. Probably, maybe, some of those that were protesting had lost family but then  … get out there … why don’t they go out  … back to their country and … try to …

[interruptions from the host, Wright}

Hang on, hang on  ….Sally, Sally, Sally, Sally, Sally -  you have made the gravest of mistakes here, cos if someone is born in this country they may not look like the people you want them to look like but if someone is born in this country they are a citizen of this country so there is nowhere else for them to go to, Sally. They have as much right to stay here as you do, and if you trace your heritage you’ll probably find that you got Italian blood in you, German blood in there, Danish blood in there, we’re a country that’s been invaded or occupied and had waves of immigrants coming for thousands and thousands of years. The argument ‘you go back to your own country’ is a racist horrible unpleasant comment and has no place on this show. Thank you for the call.  Goodbye. Let’s have another …

And let’s have another presenter, say I.

But that’s to dismiss his seemingly tolerant view of Islamist fundamentalists and his narrow opinionated “no” response to this woman far too easily. It is to fail to recognise the challenge and the threat to the thousands of years of liberal history of this country which made us what we are, and more importantly to its future.

In fact we have NEVER, EVER been threatened from within like this before. The old rules NO LONGER APPLY.

MIGRATION WORKS BOTH WAYS

And apart from that – WHY have they nowhere else to go? Why? These people are unhappy with our democratic traditions of tolerance and political choice at elections. Over the years thousands, millions of people with some gripe against Britain left this country. Often because they felt they were no longer happy with the direction in which the country was headed.

It’s called EMIGRATION. And yes, it works both ways.

If they can find somewhere else in the world that suits them, why can’t Choudary and his ilk?  They would be welcomed with open arms in any of the dictatorships he is evidently so fond of.

Perhaps we have the answer in the pathetic shout-downs of Sally by the loud-mouthed presenter above. No other democratic country would willingly take such bastards.

Grow up, people. Open your eyes.  Whatever the legislation needed, let’s get fundamentalist radicalists like this OUT of our country.

This place isn’t big enough for them and us.

RELATED

That ideology threatens the freedom and security no less of those many British Muslims who have nothing to do with such extremism and who want to sign up to British values just like everyone else.

It was the product of the government’s dalliance with extremists and refusal to address the core of the Islamist threat to this country that was on such ugly and shocking display in Luton yesterday.

  1. margaret walters Says:

yes they should be able to protest but there is a time and place for everything and it has backfired on them as watford showed today

    • keeptonyblairforpm Says:

Certainly has, margaret. Here’s betting that they don’t do this again when more troops come home in the next few months.

I wish they would, to be blunt. It only makes the troops prouder when the average residents rise up against this crowd. It’s great for the soldiers to know that WE support them. And also, as I said in the post – it opens people’s eyes to what we are facing since so many of us seem still to be in denial.

  2. Laskovar Says:

    I really enjoyed reading this blog…Very insightful & refreshing…

& I agree with soooo many points.

  3. Stan Says:

I agree with you, KTBFPM, that the man is an abomination and along with his fellow hate-preachers should be thrown out of the country, despite their “contribution” to free debate on this issue.

    • keeptonyblairforpm Says:

It’s easier said than done, Stan – and partly why I said it – to make people understand that the issues of fundamentalist radicalism and hatred are WITHIN our country and within that community. He is only a symptom of it. Not ALL of it, not by a long chalk. And it isn’t just the preachers who do the damage.

As the nasty presenter – Wright – said to Sally the other day – (he) lives here and is a native here, (so arguably has nowhere else to go.) I think we should find somewhere anyway, but we can’t get past the HR Acts at home and in the EU right now. So no chance of that!

We’re stuck with the bastard and his ilk. We need to sort them out from within the political system.

Back to square one – no leadership in any of our parties on this. The Tories are probably running scared of mentioning it because it would open up their faultline – Europe. Cameron has managed to avoid this so far.

      Edd,

Absolutely. There is something VERY wrong when these people are allowed to do this. Meanwhile the rest of us (or at least our present government) are not permitted to describe Islamist militants even as Muslims. Come on!

Keep up the exposé of this evil, twisted hypocrite!!

Hi there, Im from India and do support and can empathize with you. when someone migrate/travel to some other country, he or she should adapt or atlest understand and respect the local culture. You expand your heart and fit two lands in. you love them equally That’s the fine print.

Extreme political correctness infact sends wrong signal.
We Indians witnessed Muslim invasions from 10th century onwards as well as The British Colonial Rule in last Century. But we are still standing firm.
