INCOMPREHENSIBLE IN THE FREE WORLD
620, USA: It is incomprehensible for this to be happening in the “free world”. It is to be expected in a dictatorship. Stop tying the hands of our brave leaders and stop playing into the hands of those who want to destroy us.
UNHEALTHY TO A FUNCTIONING DEMOCRACY
616: Completely agree. The slant of popular media is unhealthy to a functioning democracy.
MASS HYSTERIA REDOLENT OF NAZISM
613, Australia: This mass hysteria is redolent of Nazism. Scary. The nutters must be put back into their disgusting little boxes and the lids jammed tightly shut.
PRESS MUST NOT CRUCIFY HIM
604, UK: Indeed, the war was based on corrupt evidence, and Blair hasn’t been charged with a crime, so to crucify him in a disdainful manner, without any grounding evidence, is purely out of journalistic integrity and should be avoided at all cost. It will undermine the enquiry itself.
WHAT ABOUT KOSOVO?
597, Oban, Scotland: I get so annoyed at people in this country who sit back and enjoy the benefits afforded to us by economic success but baulk at the methods used by our politicians to maintain it. Oil is at the heart of everything in this climate and our amazing education system, nhs and social security are all there for us to “exploit” whenever. Its so easy to knock those who have to make the hard decisions. Nobody ever mentions what he did in Kosovo the lives he saved by making the hard decision there.
I WISH BLAIR WOULD COME BACK AS PM
593, Scunthorpe, UK: i do wish people would stop banging on blair. he was a good p.m. i wish he would come back and show the country how good he was..thats why im signing this petition..
from chris hodson….
MR BLAIR IS A HERO
592, Ohio USA: Mr. Blair is a hero. He was correct to see global terrorism as a threat to the world. Do you not see what is happening in your own country? The civilized people of the world must come together to stop this terrible threat to peace and security globally.
NO BIASED WITCH-HUNT
585, London UK: Blair was a strong Prime Minister and a good man. It is about time the media looked at the facts surrounding the extremely difficult decisions he had to take as PM rather than carrying out a bias witch-hunt.
STOP SUPPORTING THE PRESS
584: The press are as usual printing words that sell papers. they are providing entertainment. they are not interested in truth. Stop supporting them.
HE GAVE UP HIS POPULARITY TO DO THE RIGHT THING
583, London: Tony is the greatest PM and only Attlee comes close.
Thank goodness there are those like him who do the right thing and who will make the sacrifices to do the right thing.
John Major chose not to make Iraq a better place in the long term, but Tony gave up his popularity to do do.
God bless Tony!
WAR DECISION NOT TAKEN LIGHTLY
580, Bradford UK: We elect our leaders to exercise their best judgement on our behalf.
It is unreasonable to expect them to get every important decision 100% right every time. I believe that the judgement Tony Blair made was in good faith given the circumstances. To Imply that he has no empathy for those killed on both sides is ludicrous . Going to war is not taken lightly by any leader.
BLAIR WAS NOT ON TRIAL FOR MURDER
575, Newport UK: Blair was not a trial for Murder as some people would like to beleive
A SHAME WE DON’T HAVE MORE LIKE HIM
572, Tel Aviv, Israel: T Blair did his job. A shame we don’t have more like him.
THIS SAYS IS ALL …
570, He’s not a war criminal. He’s not evil. He didn’t lie. He didn’t sell out Britain or commit treason. He wasn’t Bush’s poodle. He hasn’t got blood on his hands.
The anti-war nutters must not be allowed to damage Blair’s repuation further. He was a great PM, a great statesman and a great leader.
