Tony, the money’s not enough. Try cutting off an arm …

If that doesn’t work, try a leg

(If you think you’re tough enough go here to see more about this amazing medical procedure)

Or if that doesn’t do the business ….

    Sorry, mate, there’s  no alternative.

    Then they’ll forgive you.

Oh, FGS! These journos should be sacked. And this one would be out the Mirror’s door on Monday 9:00am if I had anything to do with it.

The Mirror’s bloodthirsty and less than human Tony Parsons says this –

“Tony Blair should amputate a limb and give that to the British Legion”

I apologise. Not for the artwork. For the language. I know it’s Sunday.

This kind of rant from so-called serious journalists at so-called serious newspapers is DISGRACEFUL.  It demeans us all.

The Mirror should amputate Tony Parsons. Right where it hurts.  In his pay packet. He is an unnecessary appendage. A dying limb. He has outlived his usefulness. He’s rotting from the core. This parrot is dead.  Deceased. Of no further use. Cut him off.

The dreadful article from Tony Parsons goes on –

“Tony Blair is up to his man boobs in blood.

The fact that he is donating his £4.6million book money to the British Legion does not change that unassailable fact.

Donating the money is a good deed – of course, it is – and the British Legion would be nuts to refuse.

But with his lies about Iraq and his craven willingness to play poodle to Uncle Sam, Blair is responsible for countless unnecessary British deaths and broken bodies – to say nothing of the innocent Iraqis who were slaughtered on his watch.

Boys will be in wheelchairs for the rest of their lives because of this pious, Bible-bashing hypocrite.

Blair should amputate a limb and give that to the British Legion.

Then we can start talking about forgiveness.”

    Start talking about forgiveness?

You wally. You prize nincompoop, Parsons.

    Here is an unassailable fact:

We need an Augean cleaning of the political journalist stables.

A recent comment from an Albanian, Mr Leonard Dedej from Tirana – “It takes big leaders to make the hardest turns in peoples life…mr Blair is a big leader and a great man for millions of people in Balkans!!!for stopping a savage war!about Iraq I believe that the press wherever it is has not the right to judge on this issue because it simply is to small to judge!!history will judge mr Blair!as long as it is an ongoing war no one can blame mr Blair, after all he started something for a big reason..the press its often wrong because it fights for audience!!!”

    1. Peter Reynolds Says:

Absolutely disgusting but what do you expect from the Daily Mirror?

Mind you, as we’ve seen, The Times is little better.

I may have to go back to the Telegraph. Although I think it deserves credit for exposing the MP’s expenses scandal, the way it dribbled the story out and distorted some of the information it became worse than the News Of the World.

I might have to look at The Independent again. I used to write for it about 15 years ago but will it still be in business tomorrow or next week?

All the papers are junk when you boil it all down, as far as I can see, Peter. They have their various, sometimes overlapping agendas, and they pursue them relentlesly.

Maybe we should start our own newspaper/viewspaper. Perhaps Mr Blair’s new bank will find us a backer! “Independent” enough for you?

This ugly, barbaric, uncivilized talk has become commonplace (thanks to the Islamic sword). The dates of 9/11 and 7/7 (amounting to about 3,050 “innocent” citizens) is no reason to take action in the ME, is it? All the bombings and beheadings before those dates (the Embassy in Africa, the Kobar Towers), and Saddam’s invasion of the “innocent” Kuwaities, was no reason to take a stand, was it? We should have just kept turning the other cheek, right?
I would throw this at Mr. Parsons: “What you are really saying is, the British soldiers don’t know how to fight (soldiers don’t know how to improvise when they do not have the proper kit); the soldiers willingly commit the murder of millions of innocent Iraqis (they don’t have minds of their own, so they can’t plan a battle to avoid casualties); the brilliant training of the Iraqi Security Guards was just “eye candy” on the part of the officers and soldiers (so Blair would look good); the soldiers lost their limbs for nothing; the soldiers lost their lives for nothing.
The fact of the matter is, when you insult your “Commander-In-Chief”, you insult the entire armed forces under his command. Mr. Parsons would do us all a favor if he wrote a long, detailed account of all the heroic acts of the British soldiers (it would take him until he was old and gray), the hard work they did in training the Iraqi Security Forces (they should still be there with them, imho), and how they took great care to nurture a good relationship with the locals, and how they did everything they could to avoid innocent casualties. Now, that would be a productive, informative piece for him to write about. But then, he can’t do that, can he? He cannot because, he doesn’t have a clue.

@ little ole American – I agree with you on this disgraceful barbaric talk. It has infested our papers and online chatrooms. It is NOT the western way. Todays “journalists” have been brainwashed AND infiltrated and they don’t even know it.

Did they call for the same thing to happen to Churchill? The man who said history would be kind to him because he’d write it? The man who was thrown out of office after being the great WW2 war leader? (Blair, on the other hand was NEVER thrown out of office by the voters.)

There is SO much that is wrong with our societies these days, including understanding that loyalty begins at home.

Your points on the insults not just being at Mr Blair but on all those, troops foremost, that are fighting to bring peace in the Middle East is well made. But, as you say, that factor is beyond this idiot journalist’s comprehension.

He has an agenda and that agenda is to dismiss Tony Blair in as many ways as possible. It takes precedence over common sense or even common courtesy.

    3. little ole American Says:

While I’m at it, I might add that I believe President Bush and PM Blair are Statesmen (a dying breed in both our countries). I believe they did what they knew was right, and history will prove they were right. It’s already starting to prove it. Obama has made us more vulnerable to a renewed radical Islamist threat (not only from without, but from within). The fact is, Bush and Blair were not to blame for an increase in terrorism. The attacks coming out of the ME, were going on long before either one of them were even in office. I believe they are brave men, thoughtful men, and gentle men. Signs and bumper stickers are popping up all over the US, with a picture of Bush, and the caption, “Miss me yet?”.
Hell yes, we miss you! While Russia has placed its S-3000 Missiles around Iran’s nuclear tanks to protect it from attack, our president is taking a swim at Martha’s Vinyard. In fact, no one is home on Capitol Hill. The entire Congress is on vacation. No leadership, none, nada.
Cameron? What’s he doing today? Having a turkey dinner?
      Ya got leadership?
