THE BURQA – AND THE REASONS FOR THE BURQA
Reason 1 – Traditional religious.
Reason 2 – To hide a multitude of sins – BOMBS.
Reason 3 – A disguise for men trying to sneak through security as women.
Reason 4 – ON SUICIDE FEMALE BOMBERS, IN PLACE OF HONOUR KILLINGS?
When are we going to hear the results of autopsies on female suicide bombers? I have never heard of any. But now is the time to ask: how many recent such “suicide” individuals were pregnant? Thus killing two/three – and many more – birds with one stone. The shame of a pregnancy outside marriage (honour killing) is avoided whilst catching a few dozen passing “infidels” and even faithful Islamists, in Allah’s name.
“The suicide bomb belt lies beside the body of the man shot in Lashkar Gar in Southern Helmand today.
Among the trail of clothes around him is the women’s burqa with which he had disguised himself as he set out, explosives strapped to his chest, towards the police compound that was his target.
“He was shot in the forehead after he ignored warning shots and was killed on the spot,” said Hussain Andiwal, provincial police chief. “When we took off his burqa we found he was a man with a suicide vest tied around his body.”
“It was an 18 volt battery concealed under his clothes,” said a spokesman for ISAF, the International Security Assistance Force.”
USING THE “STRENGTH” OF ISLAMIST FUNDAMENTALISM
A few months ago Islamists used women who were intellectually incapable of decision-making as suicide bombers. We were shocked, as we should have been. The REAL perpetrators were animals with no regard for human rights.
July 21st, 2005: Failed London Bomb PLOT
Then there was the case of one of the men accused of detonating a bomb on a London Tube train on 21st July 2005. Yassin Omar described how in an effort to escape pursuit and detection he later used his mother’s burka to cover his 6′ 2″ frame.
Earlier, he described the moment he detonated his rucksack explosive on a Tube train in protest against the Iraq war.
He said it sounded like a champagne cork as some of the hydrogen peroxide and chapati flour explosive burst out.
“Some of the people thought it was a joke and just looked at me strangely. Some of them, they looked alarmed. Some of the ladies, they panicked.
“I knew maybe it would cause alarm but I never thought it was going to cause a major panic.”
Omar, along with five others, was jailed for 40 years. This month his fiancee was handed a year prison sentence for helping him flee, concealing himself under a burqa.
‘London – A woman was jailed for three years on Friday for helping her fiancé flee in a burqa after he tried to blow himself up during a wave of failed suicide bombings in London in 2005.
Fardosa Abdullahi, 20, gave Yassin Omar – jailed for at least 40 years last year after his conviction for conspiracy to murder – her mother’s burqa to help him get out of London the day after the failed attacks on July 21 2005.’
This Times report of October 2006, refers probably to the same, but unnamed suspect. But it is noteworthy that the article and thoughts on it are all framed in words of apology for our even mentioning it. WHY? Well, in case it upsets Muslims! It was only a matter of time before the strategy of using the burka was used for other purposes too.
In October 2007 in Pakistan a suicide bomber, clad in a burka – gender uncertain at the time – killed 15.
In recent days and weeks, many other women have gone to meet their maker, and taken many innocents with them in recent female suicide atrocities.
Under the burka, it is assumed, they are better equipped to wrap the package of death around their bodies. And they, being submissive females and knowing their place in life, are unlikely to be looked on with as much suspicion as many men.
SACRIFICIAL LAMBS TO THE SLAUGHTER?
But another side to the use of the burqa is now being raised.
Are these women being sacrificed for Allah, not only because they can easier fool security, but because they are pregnant outside of marriage and possibly about to dishonour their men?
OTHER STORIES ON ISLAMIC SUICIDE/THE USE OF THE BURQA
July 2008 – this article shows how we in the west do not join the dots. They see women as the victims, but they assume they are OUR victims! The argument is that all the women are offering themselves as suicide bombers BECAUSE their men have died! REALLY? Have you asked all the women? It is just as likely that there are at least as many women being used in this way, as are genuinely, willingly offering themselves.
But many of the commenters still blame the west. THAT’S our problem.
The Burqa effect – May 2008 with some insightful thoughts and pictures.
“KANDAHAR, Afghanistan–A suicide bomber cloaked in a burqa killed at least 12 other people and wounded 27 yesterday.
The attack targeted police vehicles in a crowded market in Farah province, a sparsely populated region of southwestern Afghanistan where Taliban insurgents have increased their attacks in recent months.
Provincial Governor Rohul Amin said the bomber was a woman. But the Taliban, which claimed responsibility for the blast, identified the attacker as a man named Mullah Khalid, disguised by the head-to-toe covering worn by Afghan women.”
May 2008 – Aghanistan – “burqa clad bomber kills 16 -It might be a woman”. Then again, it might not.
‘KABUL, March 7 (Reuters) – Afghan soldiers have captured a Taliban leader who tried to flee a security operation in the south dressed in a burqa, NATO said on Wednesday. Tuesday’s capture in Kandahar province came as NATO launched a major offensive in neighbouring Helmand to secure a key hydroelectric dam and combat the opium trade. The man was named as Mullah Mahmood and described as an expert bomb-maker. U.S.-led coalition forces also detained five more suspected militants in eastern Khost this week.’
December 2007 – 55 year old “Taleban woman” hiding suicide package under burqa.
In 2004, Daniel Pipes said:
“The moral of this tale? That the distance between endorsing burqas and endorsing suicide bombers is closer than one might wish. (January 18, 2004)”
That was more than FOUR YEARS AGO!
