BREAKING: 16th June, 2008 – Telegraph: Shahid Malik faces investigation over claims he broke rules on MPs’ expenses

Update: 11th June. The Telegraph reports that Malik has been making expenses claims amounting to £6,500 for ‘Office2’, address unspecified. Don’t ask me why I’m suspicious. I said, don’t ask!

Update: 9th June – You’ll be pleased to know, I’m sure, that Malik has been cleared of any wrongdoing in his expenses issues. Nuff said.  Now, when are his colleagues going to challenge him about the statement he made in this video recently – “the whole Parliament will be Muslim”? Or don’t they care since it’ll exclude ALL of them anyway next time round?  It is shameful, imho, that anyone who thinks in terms of RELIGION in politics in this secular state should “serve” in Government. This former Justice Minister (?!) now “Communities Minister” (?) NEEDS TO LEAVE GOVERNMENT, or APOLOGISE and retract that statement.  If there was any justice in our community(ies) he WOULD.

SHAHID MALIK  MP – The controversial way in which Justice Minister Shahid Malik was able to run up the highest expenses claim of any MP can be disclosed by The Telegraph. So THAT’S what’s likely to happen when the whole parliament becomes Muslim! We can hardly wait.
